Capsule Collection

A vision you can feel

Capsule Collections are curated ranges with a clear design vision. The starting point is a designer with their own distinctive style or a theme that inspires us.

For each collection, we bring together the right specialists from across the value chain. Color, decor paper and texture are developed as a unified system right from the start. The result is a deliberately limited selection in which everything harmonises and which can be reproduced industrially.

We developed our first Capsule Collection with designer Alessandro Carrara and pressed sheet metal manufacturer Hueck: 19 colors, 7 textures, one material system.

Abgehängte Paneele mit fühlbaren Strukturen wie Fischgrätmuster und Holzmaserung in einem Raum mit Gästen: Haptik von Dekoroberflächen

Carrara x Felix Schoeller x Hueck

The first Capsule Collection follows Alessandro Carrara’s philosophy: design stems from the material, not the image. He calls this the balance between CORE and SKIN. The core determines stability and workability, whilst the skin defines the feel, light and emotion.

Three partners have brought this idea to life. Carrara sets the creative direction. Our decor paper determines how color is absorbed and how precisely the texture is reproduced. Hueck’s embossing plates shape the texture, which captures light and can be felt beneath the fingertips.

The result is 19 colors and 7 textures that can be freely combined. The range extends from fine wood grains to the cool, mineral-like appearance of stone, for kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces and commercial projects.

The Language of Space

The Capsule Collection is the result of a shared conviction: surfaces define the character of a space. They bring together human creativity, precision craftsmanship and in-depth knowledge of materials to form a vision in its own right.

  • 1. Vision Layer

Alessandro Carrara’s ‘CORE and SKIN’ philosophy begins with the material. Color, texture and light combine to create depth and shape the way a space is perceived.

Drawing on the distinctive details of natural materials – a proportion, a shadow line or a specific harmony – Carrara develops unique structures. These translate the visual and tactile qualities of nature into a precise design language.

  • 2. Materiality

At Felix Schoeller, we bring the design to life using precisely tailored base papers. Color, ink absorption and material properties are balanced in such a way that the desired effect remains true to the original vision, even when produced on an industrial scale.

  • 3. Structure and light

With the help of Hueck, relief structures accurate to the micrometre are created. They define the character and properties of the surface – how it reflects light, casts shadows and feels to the touch.
